eldritch Priest - the plastic chaparral

plastic chaparral
the plastic chaparral (2005) is a musical shrubland. Like its organic other whose stands of tangled scrubs weave a dense sweep of fire-prone wilderness, these three works express different growths of the same radicular structure. The plastic piano part, adapted to different regimes of harmony and tempo, is the root system from which each spear and sucker springs. Variation here is not on a theme but on a difference, an embryonic variation that is its essential power to differ.

Chaparral one comprises snarls of polyphony in varying density.
Chaparral two entwines two creepers around one another.
Chaparral three spaces out its runners and occasionally sows moments of extraordinary intensity.
